The Kingdom of Bhutan is a landlocked country in Asia and the smallest state located entirely within the Himalaya mountain range. Located in the Eastern Himalayas, it is bordered by China in the north and India in the south. Thimphu is its capital and largest city, while Phuntsholing is its financial center.

You will be received by our representative who will be your tour guide throughout your tour.Then drive to Thimphu, which will take you through Chunzom (confluence of Pachu- the river flowing through Paro valley & Wangchu –the river flowing through Thimphu valley). On the way stop to walk over the iron chains suspension bridge that spans over the Pa chu and connect to Tachogang Lhakhang (temple), After lunch visit the following: Takin Preserve, Tashichhodzong, Changzamtok Weaving center, Centenary Farmers’ market , Large Buddha at Kuenselphodrang, The National Memorial Chorten, & Craft Bazaar .
Travel to Punakha through Dochula Pass ,visit the Divine Madman’s Monastery -Chhimi Lhakhang-famously known for its fertility shrine, where one can receive a special fertility blessing, the Punakha Dzong- located on the island of the Pho Chu (male river) and the Mo chu (female river). In the evening visit local markets in Punakha .Overnight at a hotel in Punakha.
Travel to Paro via Dochula pass and southern part of Thimphu. After lunch visit the following: National Museum -housed in the Ta Dzong (watchtower). An intriguing collection of artifacts provides a wonderful introduction to the rich culture and heritage of the Kingdom.Paro Dzong,a fine example of Bhutanese historic architecture. From the dzong, walk further down to Nyamai Zampa, an oldest traditional cantilever bridge in Bhutan.In the evening stroll through the Paro town and visit local handicraft stores.
Hike up to Taktsang Monastery, also known as ‘Tiger’s Nest’. The climb up to the viewpoint will take around 1-½ hours and from there you will enjoy a spectacular view of the monastery clinging to the side of the cliff.Stop for refreshment at the View Point Cafeteria. Then walk further up to the monastery, which will take about 1 hour. Visit Kichu temple
In the morning, your Bhutan tour guide will see you off at the Paro airport for your onward flight.
